Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

  • Your activities and events are yours. They're stored on your devices and in your private iCloud. I can't see them.
  • No accounts, ads, or tracking. Mimeer doesn't sell or share your data.
  • Diagnostics are optional. Crash and performance reports help me fix problems, and you can turn them off at any time.

Mimeer is made by Caleb Friden, an independent developer. This policy explains what information the Mimeer app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and this website, handle.

Your activities and events

The activities, events and notes you create are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for your Apple Account, they sync between your devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), in your private database. Apple handles this data under its own privacy policy. I don't have access to it.

Diagnostics

To find and fix crashes and other problems, Mimeer uses Sentry, a third-party error-monitoring service. When diagnostics are on, the app may send:

Sentry also receives your device's IP address as part of any internet connection. Diagnostics are on by default. To turn them off, go to Settings → Privacy in Mimeer and turn off Send Diagnostics.

Feedback

If you use Send Feedback in the app, your comments are sent to me through Sentry, along with your name and email address if you choose to enter them. I use this only to understand and respond to your feedback. If you email me, I use your email address only to reply.

This website

This site is hosted on Google's Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. The site doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising.

Children

Mimeer isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me and I'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
